Held at the impressive 5-star K Club Hotel in County Kildare on Thursday 7th December, TaxAssist franchisees and staff enjoyed a hugely informative all day conference and dinner with evening entertainment.
Hosted by Michael Scanlan, Training and Technical Manager, the conference also included presentations from UK representatives, Sarah Robertson, Group Operations Director; James Mattam, Group Business Development Director, and David Paulson and Richard Chatten from the International Development Team.
They revealed the network’s plans for 2018, which include centralised mailing, radio advertising, PR campaigns, social media campaigns, handling the new GDPR regulations and technical update days.
During the conference, the TaxAssist Accountants Ireland App was officially launched, and experienced UK franchisees Dave Forrester and Will Swift discussed how to scale up for growth, covering technology and automation, additional shops and staffing.
Sarah said: “It was fantastic to see such a brilliant turnout with all franchisees’ practices being represented.
“There have been some operational changes in Ireland, with the UK team now working alongside Alison McGinley as Managing Director, so I was keen to communicate our vision for the continued success of TaxAssist in Ireland, which was well received and welcomed by the network. “
Instead of awards being presented, the evening was a celebration of the success of the entire network – as all franchisees have performed well this year and to celebrate this, each was presented with a tablet computer.
The evening included a drinks reception and dinner, followed by live traditional Irish music.
